Meet Our Sales Team

Tarshi McCoy

Executive Director

Tarshi P. McCoy has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She attended Mount Olive University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration of Management and Organization Development. She is also a  Certified Meeting Professional, Certified Hospitality Sales Professional, and a Travel Marketing Professional. As the Director, McCoy creates strategic plans to market the Convention Center and boost sales. Tarshi is a huge Star Wars and Yoda fan and enjoys spending time with her granddaughter.

Anna Evans

Administrative Assistant III

Anna Evans has been at the Convention Center for more than 10 years and has managerial experience in the hospitality industry. As the Administrative Assistant III, Evans handles the accounting side of the Convention Center. Behind the scenes, she helps keep things in order. Evans is a Master Family Feud player, so be ready if you plan to play against her!

Katherine Stilley

Sales and Events Manager

Katherine Stilley has worked in the hospitality industry for 15 years gaining experience in Event planning and Food & Beverage service across the country. New Bern has been her home since she settled here in 2018. She enjoys planning and executing events of all kinds, which is her primary responsibility at the Riverfront Convention Center. Her career is fueled by her passion to serve others and create memorable experiences. On her days off, she enjoys traveling to the beach and trying out new restaurants with friends.

Chazitee Hargett

Sales and Marketing Assistant

Born and raised in New Bern, Chazitee Hargett has over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Chazitee brings a well-rounded background spanning hotel operations, revenue management, food & beverage and banquet services.

She is passionate about delivering exceptional guest services while driving a strong business performance. Her approach combines attention to detail, operational excellence and a commitment to continuous growth. In her free time, Chazitee enjoys spending time with her children, staying active, reading, going to arcades and movies.

Tovoris Moore

Facility Operation Coordinator

Tovoris Moore was raised in Trenton, North Carolina and has been with the Convention Center for over 16 years. As Facility Operation Coordinator, he works diligently to execute events from start to finish. Moore prides himself on giving clients the best customer service experience they’ve ever had. He is affectionately called “T Man” by clients and coworkers. Over the years, he has gained many skills and made lifelong friendships. In his downtime, Tovoris enjoys exercising, fishing, watching sports and movies, and playing video games.

Lawrence Gray

Event Services Representative

Lawrence Gray is the newest member of our team. He joined us as an Event Services Representative after working for 10 years at the Pamlico Correctional Institution. Lawrence is originally from St. Louis and served in the United States Army. His nickname is Tut, which was given to him by his father when he was a young boy. You can find Lawrence doing a variety of things in the facility including some of the heavy lifting during event set ups and break downs. Lawrence is an avid gamer and enjoys playing basketball. You can find him in front of the PS4 or out on the court during his downtime.

Sydney Barbee

Event Services Representative

Sydney Barbee joined our team as an Event Services Representative. Born and raised in New Bern, Barbee is a talented baker and is currently earning her Associates Degree in General Education at Craven Community College. In her down time, she enjoys archery, baking, and taking care of her many animals.

There’s many options on where to hold your event at this one location. The newly renovated portion with the head-to-toe glass window is stunning. What a lovely venue and staff.
I am the Event Coordinator for a large organization and have planned many events. I must say, this has a wonderful set up and view. The Conference Center catered our lunch – the seating on the waterfront was a beautiful backdrop and escape from being inside all day.
To the staff members we worked with; Tarshi, Rebecca, Tovoris, Hunter and others- you were a complete joy! Thanks for the great suggestions on how to make our set up and service more accommodating for our guests. It was a complete success, thanks to you!
