Meet Our Sales Team
Tarshi P. McCoy has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She attended Mount Olive University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration of Management and Organization Development. She is also a Certified Meeting Professional, Certified Hospitality Sales Professional, and a Travel Marketing Professional. As the Director, McCoy creates strategic plans to market the Convention Center and boost sales. Tarshi is a huge Star Wars and Yoda fan and enjoys spending time with her granddaughter.
Mary McGee has been with the Convention Center for over 20 years and in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years. She has built strong, lasting relationships with her clients that keep them coming back year after year. Her expertise lies in detailed event planning and execution. As the Assistant Director, McGee is determined to create the best customer experience possible. Outside of the Convention Center, she is a loving wife and grandmother.
Anna Evans has been at the Convention Center for more than 10 years and has managerial experience in the hospitality industry. As the Administrative Assistant III, Evans handles the accounting side of the Convention Center. Behind the scenes, she helps keep things in order. Evans is a Master Family Feud player, so be ready if you plan to play against her!
Breeana Draper was born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Havelock, North Carolina. She attended North Carolina A&T State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. As the Sales and Marketing Assistant, she assists in event booking and planning, and social media content creation. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her daughter, binge watching TV shows, and eating good food.
Tovoris Moore was raised in Trenton, North Carolina and has been with the Convention Center for over 16 years. As an Event Services Representative, he works diligently to execute events from start to finish. Moore prides himself on giving clients the best customer service experience they’ve ever had. He is affectionately called “T Man” by clients and coworkers. Over the years, he has gained many skills and made lifelong friendships. In his downtime, Tovoris enjoys exercising, fishing, watching sports and movies, and playing video games.
Miriam McLamb was born and raised in Sampson County, NC. Her wide range of experience in mixology, banquet center management, and elder care makes her an asset to the Convention Center. Miriam has a strong belief that one’s profession should show heart and that everyone served should have a memorable experience; her local nickname is “Sunshine.” Miriam says “there’s no place like New Bern” and will likely greet you with a “hiyou” in her native dialect, and looks forward to serving the community.
Devon Payton was born and raised in New Bern, North Carolina. He attended both Lynchburg University and Garrett College and is a certified trainer. He has only been with the Convention Center for a short time as an Event Services Representative and considers himself a “man of many talents.” When he is not at the Convention Center, he’s enjoying his home life with his wife and dog.
